this is me.
thanks for being here, I appreciate it.
Without spoiling the blog posts that you can explore on your own, I’d like to offer a bit about myself. First of all, thank you for being here, and being curious about my journey-you’re special to me even if I don’t know you.
I’m a 22 year old that has had a wild ride from day one, and quite frankly, I love to write. I also spent many of my teen years scrapbooking in order to preserve my fondest memories and highlights , both good and bad, from each school year. Well…fast forward to being 22, and all of a sudden I don’t have a place to store any more scrapbooks, I don’t have the money to keep buying boatloads of stickers, paper, and pictures, and I’m not a fan of journaling, so enter the creation of Josie’s Journey, a blog website that I can use to look back on my life…and hope to help others in some way, shape, or form along the way.
Weather it’s giving you my recent book reviews, sharing my weightloss and nutrition struggle, or writing about travel experiences-we can do it all together! I’d love to have you subscribe and follow along on my journey, you might just find that we’re more alike than you think.
what do I do?
work
Currently, I have the pleasure of being both a Marketing Assistant and Human Resources Generalist at August Schell Brewing Company in New Ulm, Minnesota. In addition, I work a handful of part-time hours at A to Zinnia Florals and Gifts, also in New Ulm, Minnesota. So, basically I get to split my time in Schell’s and Grain Belt social media platforms and other fun marketing tasks while also recruiting/hiring and helping build a HR foundation for the company. In the evening hours, I get to design beautiful floral arrangements and spend time in customer service!
for fun
I’m a Minnesota girl through and through. Any thing on or near a lake in the summer, count me in! Wake surfing, swimming, jetskiing, floating with a drink in hand-YES PLEASE. I also love traveling-near or far, big or small, I love seeing new places and learning about different cultures. Aside from that, if it’s a rainy day, or a blizzard in the winter, I enjoy curling up by a fireplace and reading a good book or watching a good movie…I’m a sucker for a good Romantic Comedy.
I can’t get enough time spent with friends and family, so chances are I’m with some variation of them at all times, but I also enjoy my me time.
I think that about covers it-and it’s probably way more than you bargained for to begin with! Cheers!
